HI. I’m Stephanie Rue with Hug a Chicken Productions. I’ve spent years as a professional photographer and a 'momager'—which is basically a combination of a talent agent, a therapist, and a high-speed chauffeur. After working with some of the best agents and coaches in the business, my husband and I built a professional studio to give young actors the ultimate edge. We provide the headshots they’ll actually want to post and the self-tapes that make casting directors hit 'replay.' Basically, we make your kid look like a star so you can go back to just being a parent.

Studio Hits

  • College Audition Prescreen Package

    (3 Hours - $450)

    This is the "I’m doing this for real" session. We handle the technical nightmare of school-specific requirements so you can focus on your performance.

    The Time: 3 hours in the studio—enough time to find the perfect take without the "panic clock" ticking.

    The Content: 2 contrasting songs and up to 3 monologues, filmed and framed to each school’s unique specifications.

  • MT Singing Self-Tape

    (1 Hour - $150)

    Designed for the singer who needs to sound like they’re standing center stage, even if they’re in a booth in SoCal.

    The Session: 60 minutes of focused recording. (Need more? Book a double).

    Broadway-Ready Audio: Studio-grade mics and layered sound capture your real voice—not a "filmed-on-a-phone" version of it.

    For the monologues and scenes that need to feel intimate, grounded, and professional.

    The Session: 1 hour of dedicated studio time to find the "arc" of your scene without distractions.

    The Look: 4K optics and a professional lighting setup that makes your eyes pop and your "close-up" look intentional.

    For voiceover auditions where the sound quality is 100% of the grade.

    The Booth: 30 minutes in our sound-isolated, acoustically treated suite.

    The Pro Tech: Includes an audio technician to handle the levels and a reader for dialogue-heavy scripts.
